Kerala to get 5,261 oxygen concentrators from United States

The state will soon receive a large consignment of Covid-19 relief material from the United States. The Indo-US strategic partnership forum is learnt to be supplying as many as 5,261 Oxygen concentrators, 1,048 pulse oximeters, 52,329 anti-viral face coverings and 4,81,697 rapid antigen testing kits to the state.

The USISPF is currently engaged in urgently deploying critical medical supplies, medical equipment and other Covid-19 related materials to aid the country’s fight against Covid.

The US consignment has been allotted to 18 states, and Kerala is the third state after Maharashtra and Karnataka to receive the highest share from it. As many as 50,224 Oxygen concentrators, 10,000 pulse oximeters, 5,00,000 anti-viral face coverings and 46,00,000 rapid antigen testing kits are part of the consignment.

Testing of Python 5 Air to Air Missile

The Defense Research and Development Organization recently conducted a series of missile tests. It includes Derby missiles and Python missiles. These missiles were tested in Goa, and the hit rate reached 100%.
After DRDO announced the move, Python 5 air-to-air missiles have been successfully added to the light fighter Tejas.

Python 5 is the fifth-generation Python missile. It is an air-to-air missile manufactured by the Israeli weapons manufacturer Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

The Israeli government began to manufacture missiles under the name “Shafir”. Later, when it started exporting missiles, it chose the Western name “Python” or “Derby”.

Python-5 is the most capable air-to-air missile in Israel’s inventory. It is beyond the line-of-sight missile. Beyond line-of-sight missiles are missiles that can operate within a range of more than 37 kilometers. It has advanced star finder, including photoelectric and image infrared homing.

The Python 5 is capable to scan for the goal place for the opposed aircraft and then locks on for terminal chase. It was first used in the 2006 Lebanon war. It destroyed two Iran made UAVs. Speed of the missile is Mach 4. It weighs eleven kilograms.

Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Crosses Rs. 8,000 Crores Mark

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare these days introduced that the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund crossed the Rs 8,000 crore mark. The Ministry has acquired 8,665 functions so far. The worth of these purposes has amounted to Rs 8 216 crores. Out of this, Rs 4 0 crores have been sanctioned via the Ministry so far.

The states that received the most assistance thru the fund are Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.

The largest share of the sanctioned software was contributed by the following sectors: Primary Agricultural Societies: 58%. Agri-Entrepreneurs: 24%. Individual Farmers: 13%.

In 2020, the Indian government established the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to inject credit into agriculture and its allied activities.

It was once launched as a part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. The vital goal of the fund is to make the farmers self-reliant.
