Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that the objective of the National Education Policy is to make India a super knowledge power in the field of education in the world. This education policy will make the youth more skilled. He said that the mantra of our country is ‘Aa no bhadra: kratovo yantu vishwato’. That is, we welcome good ideas from all sides. He further said that the National Education Policy-2020 also emphasises on the all-inclusive idea of Indian culture. It respects diversity. He said that education has no importance without social responsibility. The National Education Policy is supposed to promote social responsibility within the student.

El Salvador Becomes the 1st Country to Bitcoin as National Currency

El Salvador has come to be the first country in the world to take delivery of Bitcoin as a legal tender.

Highlights:

Sansad TV was created by merging the Rajya Sabha TV and Lok Sabha TV in February 2021. Government also appointed the CEO of Sansad TV in March, 2021.

Sansad TV programming primarily includes four categories:

Functioning of Parliament & democratic institutions

Governance and implementation of schemes & policies

HISTORY & culture of India and

Issues, interests and concerns of contemporary nature.

Sansad TV is an Indian government television service that broadcasts programming of the two Houses of Parliament and other public affairs programming. It was formed on March 2021 by merging two existing house channels that is, Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV. Provisionally the channel will comprise of 35 themes on which programmes will be aired. Programmes will be similar and in two English and Hindi languages.

The day mark the contributions of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya in the field of engineering and Education.

Visvesvaraya is the man with high principles.

He played a significant role in constructing Dams, reservoirs and hydro-power projects across India.

His high architect projects are Krishna Raja Sagar dam in Karnataka and flood protection system in Hyderabad.

India has been celebrating the Engineers Day on September 15, since 1968. His birthday is celebrated as Engineers Day in India, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.

Central government has allowed 11 states to borrow an additional fund of Rs 15,721 crore from the market, because they achieved the Capital Expenditure target that finance ministry had set for June quarter the fiscal year 2021-22.

States that have been allowed to borrow include- Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Additional open market borrowing permission equivalent to 0.25% of their Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was granted.

Additional financial Resources will help these states to push their capital expenditure further.

Article 293(3) of the Constitution provides for states to require Centres permission in order to borrow additional funds. This permission is granted after fulfilling certain conditions provided by Article 293(4). Centre has been exercising this power as per recommendations of theFinance Commission.

Government further noted that, procurement in the Kharif Marketing season 2021-22 will be done as per new mechanism.

Three states that have not integrated their digital land records with the nodal procurement agency, Food Corporation of India (Fci) include- barring Assam, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir.

Cross-checking land records before procurement will help in ensuring that the MSP reaches to the farmers and not traders.

Crop cultivated by farmers, either in their own land or rented property, will be procured by the government.

To register on the portal, farmers will not need to provide physical proofs of land records.

This mechanism was launched with the objective of finding how much crop has been cultivated in any particular area and how much the government procures from genuine farmers and not from traders.

It is a Central Sector scheme which now stands extended up to 2020-21 with the total cost of Rs. 950 crores. Department of Land Resources also proposed an extension to 2023-24. This scheme attempts to build commonalities existing in the area of land records in several States to develop an appropriate Integrated Land Information Management System (ILIMS) in India.

ILIMS comprises of information on parcel ownership, Taxation, land use, location boundaries, encumbrances, land value etc.

Next phase of the DILRMP include linkage of land record databases with banks.
