WB, AIIB clear $250m for RKI second phase

The World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have cleared $250 million as concessional funding for the second phase of Resilient Kerala Development Programme, which is part of the Rebuild Kerala Initiative (RKI).

Global Energy Transition Index World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum released the Global Energy Transition Index. The index used to be organized in collaboration with Accenture.
The ten international locations that topped the index were from the Northern and Western parts of Europe. Sweden ranked first in the document accompanied via Norway and Denmark.
India ranked 87th in the index. China was ranked 68th on the index.

Government Extends Vivad se Vishwas Scheme Deadline Till 30th June

Those who avail of this scheme after 31st March 2020 will have to pay a 10% extra penalty and pastime amount.

The scheme presents for the contract of disputed tax, interest, penalty or fees in relation to an evaluation or reassessment order on the fee of 100 % of the disputed tax and 25 % of the disputed penalty or pastime or fee.

Appointment of Retired Judges as Ad-Hoc Judges in HC

The Supreme Court cleared the way for the appointment of retired judges as ad-hoc judges in High Courts (HCs) below Article 224A of the Constitution to deal with the mounting backlog of cases.
